Após a infeliz saída de Daevid Allen, o Soft Machine decide ir para o estúdio para lançar seu disco de estréia, que coincidentemente (ohhhhhhh!!!) é este, e que, aliás, é um dos meus preferidos. Acredito que eu seja um dos poucos que tenha preferência por esta fase mais psicodélica – que, infelizmente, durou apenas até o segundo disco.
